Career of the kindergarten teacher and its support from the school management level

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of career in teaching, which has many specific characteristics compared to the classical concept of career. The thesis focuses on the group of kindergarten teachers who stand at the beginning of the education system as important influencers on the life-long educational journey of each of us. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the view of the kindergarten teacher career by teachers and principals and to look for support from the school management level. The theoretical part deals with three basic areas, which are professional development, professional career and career system. The first chapter shows the connection between the professional development of teachers and their career, it also focuses on its individual components, especially continual education of teachers. The second chapter is devoted to the career itself and compares the theoretical background of the career with its specifics in the teaching career. It looks at the teaching profession in terms of its attractiveness and individual stages of the teachers' career. The third chapter reflects the need for a career system, characterizes its benefits and presents the current state of its setting in the Czech Republic and abroad. Creation of selected competence models for the professional development of the employees

The thesis deals with the creation of three competencies models, based on a competencies analysis for selected non-managerial job roles requiring further professional development, namely Warehouse Coordinator, Junior Accountant and Sales Administrative Assistant. The duly compiled competencies model then creates a realistice representation of the knowledge and skills the staff need for the given job role. When it comes to the professional development and training of existing staff, the competencies model is a reliable tool for identifying the educational needs of individual employees, and detecting hidden talents in good time. This makes it easier to set the developmental, educational and training activities for the employee, not only to achieve the required competencies, but also to meet the goals of the organization as a whole. The thesis contributes by having undertaken a competencies analysis and created three competencies models, together with proposals and recommendations for their use in the professional development and training of the employees concerned. Professional Career of Educators in After-School Clubs

The thesis deals with the development of the career of educators in after-school clubs. One part of the thesis is a theoretical part and the other part is my own research. Chapter one defines the concepts of the professional career and the life path. The second chapter deals with the educator in the after-school club, their job description and the qualifications related to the profession, competencies, typology of educators and the risks of the burnout syndrome for the profession. The third chapter analogously deals with the profession of a teacher. In the fourth chapter, I compare the career path of the educator with the professional career of the teacher, and the overall summary. The fifth chapter presents the findings of a qualitative research (five biographical interviews).
Start and course of life and professional career of School Headmasters

This theoretical and empirical thesis focuses on career and life paths of headmasters of Czech secondary schools. Its aim is to capture and analyse data about different phases of eadmaster's career: from its early beginnings, throughout critical moments which could influence certain decisions, as whether to stay in the position or leave, up to the discrepancy between individual career expectations and the eventual reality. The theoretical part of the thesis defines terms such as life path, career, headmaster of a secondary school and school management. The research is using the method of a so-called life story, which provides answers to the research questions. Main data was collected using half-structured interviews with individual headmasters and supplementary data was collected using document analyses and managerial testing method GRID. By looking at the results in the thesis, we can observe that life paths and careers of individual headmasters show some common elements, such as family background, which is considered as an important prerequisite that can determine individual performance in this role. As far as gender is concerned, years of experience or legal subjectivity of the school, no significant elements were detected which would have some greater impact on the career or life path itself....
